My Personal Knowledge Management Tech Stack
People often ask what note-taking app they’re using for their Personal Knowledge Management.
Evernote is the app I have been using since my school days. I’m most familiar with it and it is the easiest to use. In addition, it’s search function is one of the best, being able to search through PDFs very well.
I heard about Notion this year. It’s aesthetically pleasing UI was what drew me to it. Notion also has collaborative functions. Its stacks note on top of each other. So you’ll be able to create deep notes. However, UX is a little clunky.
Roam is the newest and making a wave in PKM systems. Its bi-directional linking is useful for creative work. It’s still early days for me using Roam so the verdict on it is still out.
For BASB I will be touching a little on the big 3.
Evernote for my notes and resources library (Capture).
Notion for architecture and databases (Organise/ Distill).
Roam for bi-directional linking and creative notes (Express).
